I first rode an Island Snowboard prototype a few years back when founder Owain invited me to try and give feedback on a slushy but fun spring day riding with a few friends. The board looked slick and was poppy, fun and responsive. I was stoked and inspired that a local friend and a guy who lives and breaths snowboarding was doing what he set out to do- start a snowboarding company and that the signs were looking promising for a great board.
Three years later after much testing, tweaks and learning with a partner in tow (and my first boss here in Niseko) Stu; and a quality, sustainable product ready to be made in a new workshop space– I was super stoked that they asked me to help them with their branding and website launch.
